New Hollow Knight PC, Developer Team Cherry has released a new update for Hollow Knight on PC, and it’s the first update the game gets since 2018. The update was released in beta while Team Cherry monitors the effects of the changes, so none of the bug fixes are permanent yet.

In the full patch notes, Team Cherry wrote that the main purpose of the update is to improve the Unity version of Hollow Knight. However, the update implements several bug fixes as well

Other minor fixes

Team Cherry doesn’t state when these changes will be permanently implemented but does add that when they do, the developer will make sure to leave the current version, in their beta branch for those who need the 32-bit version. ”

If you wish to access these changes yourself, log into your Steam account, right-click on Hollow Knight in your library, click on “Properties” and then “Betas”. An option to sign up for the available trial version of Hollow Knight should appear – you want to select Public Trial.

Team Cherry is still in the midst of developing Hollow Knight: Silk song, a follow-up to the original game that sees you play as Hollow Knight’s secondary protagonist, Hornet, who becomes trapped in the deepest levels of Pharloom, the Kingdom of Silk and Song. In order to escape, it must travel uphill toward freedom, using its speed, agility, and combat prowess to defeat deadly insects and spiders. Hollow Knight: Silk song is set to launch for PC and Switch.
