About The Game
As part of your job as a Hypnospace Enforcer, you’ll be watching out for copyright infringement, internet bullying and more, with reports and rewards coming direct from the Hypnospace Patrol Department to your inbox. In your spare time, you can customize your HypnOS desktop however you see fit, with a variety of downloads, wallpapers, screen savers and helper bots to keep you company.
Hypnospace outlaw is a detective game in which you go through an alternate 1999 to enforce hypnospace, an internet you browse while Asleep. the interface IS pretty clunky, and it does have a memory leak issue (which is ironically solved by “rebooting” the desktop), but it does reinforce the setting.
Gameplay revolves around finding things that violate the law, such as harassment, illegal software, GabeN’s underwear collection, and so forth. while the first 4 cases are pretty easy to solve, it gets a lot more open ended AND obtuse once you get into the main part. While it isn’t a game of the year, It is worth the experience alone. Replay value is low, although the amount of LORE inside hypnospace is staggering, so if you take your time going through it, it’ll be all worth it.
