Diablo 2 Resurrected PC system requirements revealed

Diablo 2 Resurrected PC was just announced at BlizzCon 2021, as Blizzard has now revealed PC requirements for an upcoming remaster – and confirmation that mods will be backed up to boot. What kind of system would you need to run Diablo 2 Resurrected then? Fortunately, the requirements aren’t particularly demanding from a contemporary gaming perspective, although the recommended spec – at 1080p – requires 16GB of system memory (a growing trend these days).

Here are the requirements for the full PC specification.

Minimum requirements (720p)

Operating System: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350
RAM: 8 GB
Graphics Processor: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 / AMD Radeon HD 7850
Driving space: 30 GB

Recommended requirements (1080p)

Operating System: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
RAM: 16 GB
Graphics Processor: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
Driving space: 30 GB

So as you can see, nothing hurts here, and of course, the minimum requirements are pretty easy, Diablo 2 Resurrected PC, although note that this is for playing the game at 720p, which of course won’t look great. Diablo 2 Resurrected increases the graphic stakes considerably and, as we have seen, will refresh the visuals with a new coat of paint and allow for resolution up to 4K with support for refresh rates up to 144Hz.

However, there will be a Classic Mode that reverts to the look of the original 2D icon-based game, if you want to go that route. In addition to the enhanced visuals, Blizzard offers Dolby 7.1 surround sound on the audio side with remastered and re-recorded sound effects.

Since Wccftech, who monitored the requirements, was also reported, support for the mod for Diablo 2 Resurrected was confirmed on Twitter. Good to hear that, of course. We don’t know when all of this will happen, because Blizzard has yet to confirm when Diablo 2 Resurrected will be launched – but we do know it will arrive sometime in 2021. Meanwhile, there’s a generic alpha test in the near future, and we can keep our fingers crossed that this editor isn’t making any of Warcraft III’s bugs.
