Barotrauma is a 2D co-op submarine simulator in space, with survival horror elements. Steer your submarine, give orders, fight monsters, fix leaks, operate machinery, man the guns and craft items, and stay alert: danger in Barotrauma doesn’t announce itself!
About The Game
Barotrauma, Talking about challenge. I’ve seen people complaining that this game is hard. It’s not. It’s the way that you and your crew play it that makes it easy or hard. If you have newbies and idiots on board, you will have a harder time. If you have experienced players instead, it’ll be so easy that you will readily go against the hardest objectives the game has to offer and will even want to raise the overall difficulty of the game
Don’t see defeat as defeat. See it as an experience. This game is not about winning or losing, it’s about doing your best to overcome the obstacles. It’s about the journey between start and finish.
This game is something else when it comes down to multiplayer interactions. That’s what I love the most about it. I once read another player who perfectly captured the essence of it all by saying: you have to trust your teammates, but never entirely because you never know what might happen. Mistakes will be made, treachery and mutiny can occur.
Barotrauma is unfinished but it set everything up to build on a solid basis. The physics, visuals, sound effects and atmosphere is all there. All they need to do is to fix some bugs and add some more content. They should focus on simplifying character, creature and item creation. Sub creation is great as it is. This game is still in early access as we speak. Don’t let those who claim it’s dead deceive you. It’s just underwater, but it will come to the surface soon enough. You need to be patient with these guys. They’re not a billion dollar company and don’t have unlimited staff.
