Astracraft is a sandbox, NetEase Games and British independent developer Payload Studios have released Astracraft, a sandbox game about building and fighting mechs, on iOS and Android.
The unique thing about this one is that it combines the creation and battle aspects of the sandbox genre to enjoy it at the same time. In Create mode, you create mechs using a variety of resources and a rich map editor, where you can not only customize your battleships, mechs, and spaceships but also build your own worlds and maps to your heart’s content.
Then there is the battle mode, where you command your mechs to fight in a variety of different situations. Anything goes in Infinite Arena, where you fight opponents in a rule-free zone, while Storm mode and King of the Hill offer rounds with objectives you can focus on.
But that’s not all, as Astracraft also has the additional career and party modes. Race lets you use your vehicles to fight using skills and items on the road, while Party is more about having fun with other players in various casual mini-games.
As a bonus, Astracraft is also launching the “Hopper Partner Program” Influencers Recruitment Plan, an initiative to encourage players to use their talents and creativity to make some inspiring creations on the battlefield. The 30 most popular creators will be selected each week to receive great rewards in the game.
So it looks like Astracraft could be a great tool for creative gamers. Roblox, Minecraft, or LEGO fans might be right for that. You can download Astracraft now from the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android. It is a free title that contains in-app purchases.
